This day and age life seems to be totally consumed and defined by technology. It is easy to rank our popularity and sometimes success by how many “likes” or “retweets” we get.
It would be naive to assume these measurements carry no validity. Popularity on social media sites often times means many people are following you, watching what you do and being influenced by what you post, say or imply.
As Christians it is important to consider the responsibility that your life possesses, even through social media.
Many of us let popularity go to our heads, leveraging our social media status for nothing more than an endless cycle of “likes.” But what if you could have a different influence, what if you could use your social media platforms intentionally to share light and positivity especially to your followers that don’t know Jesus in the way that you do?
I believe that this day and age our technological platforms allow for a visibility and speed in communication that this world has never before seen. This indicates there may be an urgency to get certain messages across.
What message are you supposed to be sharing?
Your voice and your influence are gifts from God as is the life that you live–even on social media.
Consider your sphere of influence and make sure you leverage your visibility as a gift that is from God and not from man.
With Love Always,
