Double-Post: Dealing With Frustration/ Work Your Dreams

Today I’m trying something new. A double-post! Two mini-posts with two big messages. I hope these tidbits inspire you!

Dealing With Frustration

Anger and frustration are legitimate feelings and some of the most difficult feelings for us to deal with, understandably so. As Christians, these feelings present a unique challenge because it seems like God always asks us to do the opposite of what we feel like doing when we are upset.

When we want to blow up on somebody God says, be slow to anger. (James 1:19)

When you want to smack somebody upside the head God says, turn the other cheek. (Matt 5:39)

When you want to settle the score God says, vengeance is mine…I will fight your battles. (Rom 12:19, Ex. 4:14)

And when we want to throw a pity party and quit God says, Stand. (Eph. 6:13)

I’ve found myself at fault as I try to handle frustration with others and myself in my own power, not even giving myself time to consult God. Not even giving God the opportunity to fix what’s wrong.

During these times it is imperative that we remind ourselves that things can’t get better without his help. In our own history we can look back and see how, in every single moment we decided to surrender our issues to God he’s showed up. Am I right?

If you truly seek peace, humble yourself and give it to God.

Work Your Dreams!

You guys….I have been working on one of the most exciting projects in my life and I can’t wait to share it with you! While I can’t give you too much information now, I can tell you that this project has everything to do with chasing your dreams!

If there is one takeaway I can gather from this project it’s this, Work Your Dreams!

Don’t let your passions lie dormant or uninvested like in the Parable of the Talents. As you know, my brand is all about Creating Your Most Fulfilling Life which means building your life intentionally instead of letting time just pass you by.

Time is something we lose everyday. You will never get yesterday back but you can still create tomorrows better than the yesterdays you’ve lost.

If you have passions, goals and dreams (which everyone does) be intentional about them, go for it and work. yo. dreams!

Key Scriptures:

Matthew 25:14-20
